Funny like an accident

Meet my new bike...any suggestions for a name?

Bike Beach ride on Saturday was awesome... it was all in all a comedy of errors yesterday

Finally bought my new bike (craigslist treats me well) it's a sweet old school Saint Tropeze bike...a bit heavy but rides like a dream

Friday night after dancing in the gardens of cooper-hewitt headed back to the slope to frankenstein my old bike for parts. Oh the exciting life i lead. Friday night - 4 bikes in front of my apt and there we are fixing our bikes to get ready for our ride tomorrow morning.

Saturday started off great...we had awesome weather to ride. The bike path is actually a sweet ride through the heart of bklyn. It's amazing to see how well we all work together as friends and as a team to do what's necessary for each other. When a bike broke down we all rode 2 miles out of the way to help get it fixed. They've all got this great attitude and friendship to stick together... and then I ran into a parking meter. - i'm an idiot

We got the bike fixed and continued on our 20 mile journey to the beach...leaving at 9am (ignoring detours) hit the beach at 1. It was peaceful and it was relaxing and it was good to just sleep under the cloudy sun. We're just a couple of beach bums

Ride back was pretty smooth - bikes all in working order...and there i go flying off into the pavement ... nothing seriously injured but i swear i'm a walking accident. Good news is my bike was okay and my refreshed tan look marvelous against my band-aids and wrapped knee.

Ended the night with Anchorman - Ah I love Scotch...scotchy scotch scotch.

Just a weird comedy of errors...guess it was just one of those days!

1250 vestal

an intern in my group has just accepted to go to Binghamton University. As I was talking to her about it, as much as I thought I hated it - listening to myself speak about it, I realized just how much I did enjoy, and really love the time I had spent there

It wasn't about the campus, it wasn't about my education. I turned down plenty of great schools - but that's another story. Tony said something that caught in my train of thought. A person who dreams, dreams about their future... it's the steps they choose to take or not take that will allow them to make it come true. Each step I've taken, have been to afraid to take, led me to where I am sitting now. For better or for worse...suck it up!

Best step taken in college - moving offcampus to 1250 Vestal...
The random late night movies & dominos
8 tapes of Friends recorded without commercials always sitting in the vcr/the dvd player i was supposed to return to Walmart after 3 months that i have now owned for 4 years
3am runs to Wegmans for chestnuts
3 channels on our tv
dinner cookouts
firepit in the backyard
$210/mo RENT with Utilities!!!!!
The bottle of lube always on tony's desk ::shudder::
Harry's sparsely decorated room
My overstuffed room
Spontaneous floods on our ceiling
Walks across Chenango bridge
My stolen subway Nike ads
clocks and frisbees hanging in our living room
asshole and the little man crew

Glad to have meet the people that I meet in bing...they're like family.

Rainy days are here again

Played in hell of a rain downpour, mud soaked field. awesome game! Deja vu from Bahamas... my phone got drenched in the downpour and is now emitting strange beeps. A new phone has been ordered and is on it's way. But wont' get here soon enough

Saw Aaron in concert last night in AC - probably the last concert I'll see of HK stars in a while. Meanwhile Borgata is AWESOME. Makes me miss vegas just a little bit less....but only just a little.

Harry Potter - book 6
This is by far the most hilarious - they act like teenagers, how can you not laugh at characters you've read over the last X years suddenly start making out with each other! At the same moment - I thought the last book was a doozy... this is by far much worse. Rowling better be writing that last book and burning that midnight oil every night

Last thought: Big bro is a police officer now. I am so incredibly proud of him. Just hope one day he realizes just how much

no calling list

aiya... hope he doesn't call.

#$@!

I hate taking days off from work. It's more stressful to be away at work than to be at work.

It's true, there are more dumb people roaming unaccounted for than previously thought. And they're all working at JPMC!

it ain't about the people

Maybe I should calm down about work. It's just work and it's paying my bills. I don't know how my co-worker is feeling these days with half of the team seemingly leaving in droves.

I'm pretty much done with the group but not sure where to start in terms of seeking a new opportunity. Trying hard to stay positive about things, after all this is the first time I have a manager that is actively trying to manage me and my expectations. I should give her a chance...

someone brought this up a couple weeks back (or maybe it was me). Asian stereo-types of being a quiet and obedient minority - perhaps more prevalent than I thought? I'm a fairly aggressive/pro-active person when it comes to my work. If I were white would I be applauded for my tenacity rather than reproached?

Primary colors

Pulling out all the stops this past weekend.
ps1 was some good fun yet again...this time no vodka nalgene. So clean sober fun.

Ran into ex's friends, former managers, and old high school friends. Busted my ankle playing disc, it's gotten way to competitive these past couple of months. Hopefully with more of the old crew coming back out to play things will settle down more

To meet good people that are there for you not for what you know ...but for who you are. It's a nice change...

Tha challenge is on! West coast swing ... i will learn it!

Finding the right fit

My big bro is graduating from the police force this wednesday

My mom just bought and renovated a new house in Bayside
Just a year ago, things were so very different... I thought I'd never stop partying 24/7 until I started working the full year and found 12 hour days really takes a lot out of a girl
Found someone I could love and be with... and we both found as much as we could love each other we just weren't right together
My arrogance and pride taken down a notch one late Monday night...prompting a serious change to move from the neighborhood I've lived in over 15 years...to a new neighborhood I'm so very proud to call my home

Figuring out my next step...it's going to be a doozy kids

Tonight... dancing on the pier to some mighty swing music
